Tonight was Dirk's birthday, and he chose to celebrate with a beach fire at Golden Gardens in Ballard. It was a beautiful night to huddle around a fire and watch the boats and the sunset. Chilly Mondays are great days to be at the beach; we had lots of sand to ourselves. Here's Dirk taking one of his last photos of the bay.
